In number 3, A stern elder named Malume confronts Simpleton about his irresponsible behaviour, particularly regarding multiple pregnancies from different women. Simpleton tries to deflect and make excuses, but Malume sees through his attempts.

Malume orders Simpleton to be taken away and "scrubbed clean," emphasizing they can't have him talking publicly about being part of their group. Simpleton expresses surprise at Malume's harsh treatment.

When Simpleton crudely blames the women for getting pregnant, Malume expresses shock and sadness for the women and children involved. Simpleton attempts to equate his behavior with Malume's, noting Malume's 12 children. However, Malume points out that all his children are with one woman, his late wife Rose, contrasting this with Simpleton's lack of commitment.

The confrontation ends with Simpleton reluctantly asking about his "assignment," to which Malume simply replies that he must take responsibility for his actions. The exchange highlights themes of accountability, maturity, and the consequences of one's choices.
